Grades K-2
This one-day camp will concentrate on the fundamental building blocks of a great baseball player. Campers will learn the correct way to throw, catch, run bases, and swing the bat as they go through drill work designed for their age and skill level.
Grades 3-6
This one-day camp will teach campers the “Westfield Way” as it pertains to swing mechanics, proper pitching mechanics, base-running fundamentals, and the secrets of how to become a top defender in the field!
Camp Director: Head Coach Ryan Bunnell
Ryan Bunnell enters his twenty-third year as Head Baseball Coach at Westfield High School. During his tenure, the Shamrocks have won five Hoosier Crossroads Conference Championships, four Sectional Championships, a Sweet Sixteen, and an Elite Eight finish. In 2009, Bunnell guided the Rocks to a State Runner-Up finish after a heartbreaking loss in extra-innings in the state championship game. Under Coach Bunnell’s guidance, the Shamrocks have set twenty-eight school records, had four All-State and twenty Honorable Mention All-State selections, produced the only thirteen Indiana All-Stars in school history, the school’s first IHSBCA Player of the Year and the school’s only five MLB draft picks including Kevin Plawecki of the San Diego Padres and Ryan Pepiot of the Tampa Bay Rays. Coach Bunnell has been named Hoosier Crossroads Conference Coach of the Year five times, the IHSBCA District K Coach of the Year twice, Indy North Coach of the Year twice, and Indy Super Team Co-Coach of the Year once. In 2009, he finished second in the Indiana Coach of the Year balloting. Over his twenty-two years at Westfield, Coach Bunnell has helped guide sixty-nine players into college baseball, twenty-four at the Division I level.

Current and former Westfield High School baseball players and staff will assist with instruction.
Facilities
All camps will be held at WHS’s beautiful, state-of-the-art Multi-Purpose Instructional Facility (MPIF). Campers will be utilizing the batting cages, equipment, and technology that WHS athletes use. This will give the camper a total Westfield High School athletic experience. Campers should bring all of their equipment, including a glove and bat, and should wear comfortable workout attire. It's recommended that campers have their name on their equipment. Please do not wear cleats in the indoor facility.
